Guided trail runs (GTRs) at Love Trails are our  small group (generally max 30 people) guided runs starting and finishing at the Love Trails Festival site. They are led by Love Trails run leaders, or by partner running clubs, crews or communities. They range in distance from 5km all the way up to a whopping 55km.

Love Trails GTRs are social paced runs, NOT races. The vibe is laid back and non-competitive. We encourage you to leave your watch at home (or in your tent!), and not to worry at all about your pace. Take it easy, support the other runners in your group, meet some new interesting people and enjoy the views!

Love Trails Festival guided runs are split into three pace groups.
Very approximate pace guide below;

-  Falcons  (Feel comfortable running 7-8mins miles / 4:30-5 min km on road)

Falcons are strong and experienced runners and used to smashing out hills for breakfast on a daily basis. 7-8 minute miles are absolutely no problem for Falcons on the road, and they're training several times a week. Join the Falcons for a pacey run at the front of the pack.

- Foxes  (Roughly speaking are comfortable running 8-9mins miles / 5:00-6 min km on road)

Foxes are quite happy running 8:00-9:00 min miles on tarmac for a 5/10km. Foxes are fairly confident on the trails, and love flying up and down the hills whilst holding a conversation.

- Hares  (Roughly speaking are comfortable running 9-11mins miles / 6-8 min km on road)

Hares is the ultimate social pace. No racing, no pressure, and a supportive crew and run leader team. Most of the runs at Love Trails are "Hares" because most of the running at Love Trails is accessible for all. If you don't think you can run at 9-11mins miles over the distance, please contact Theo on theo@lovetrailsfestival.co.uk and we'll be happy to guide you to suitable running at Love Trails for your speed and ability.

Finally, it's worth repeating: Guided Trail Runs are social paced runs – not races! So please expect plenty of stops for taking photos, to re-group, and to admire the views, no matter which pace group you are in.

The vast majority of what's going on at Love Trails is included in your ticket price. This includes all the music, talks, loads of running (more than any person could ever complete over 3-days!), most running workshops and lots of other surprises along the way. You really can pack out your time at Love Trails with incredible experiences without booking any extra adventures. There are some optional extras that we wanted to bring to Love Trails, and these aren't included in your ticket price. To make them possible, we need to charge extra for them. Extra Adventures (e.g. Run to Surf, Run to Rock Climbing) will be available to book on the 23rd May at 12:30.

The vast majority of what's going on at Love Trails is included in your ticket price. There are some small group (or even 1:1) workshops, typically of a longer duration or where there are material costs. Meaning we need to charge a little extra for these to make them viable at Love Trails. Extra Workshops (e.g. a 3-hour Running & Writing Course, or a 1:1 session with a personal trainer) will be available to book on the 23rd May at 12:30.
