FAQs

You’ll commit to completing roughly 3 x 6-8 hour shifts across the festival to receive a full festival ticket. Other shift options are possible if you are less available.

Please note, due to the nature of the programme at Love Trails your shifts may not be 8 hours long. For example, they could be broken up into 5 hours in the morning, and 3 hours in the afternoon. Volunteers should be flexible when signing up to volunteer.

Our volunteers play a huge and invaluable part in creating the atmosphere at Love Trails Festival. We’re a community of runners, adventurers, entrepreneurs, and creatives, and the festival really values your help!

In return for being on the team, all volunteers get:

A free Love Trails Festival full weekend ticket, which you can enjoy outside of your shifts

One meal voucher for every 8 hours volunteered

Access into the separate crew campsite (if you want it) with close access to showers & toilets

Free hot showers all weekend

Free car park pass

A Love Trails volunteer T-shirt

The chance to be involved in a life-changing weekend!

Arriving at Love Trails Festival as a Volunteer

Where you park and how you arrive at the festival depends on your arrival day and time, and your departure day.

If you are arriving after 4pm Thursday and/or leaving before Monday:

Camping:

If you are arriving after 4pm on Thursday, or if you need to leave before Monday (or come and go at any other time over the weekend), you'll need to park your car in Estuary View Car Park. Please head straight to the Estuary View Accreditation on arrival to pick up your wristbands. You can choose to camp in Estuary View Campsite or in Crew Camping.

If you are arriving before 4pm on Thursday and staying till Monday:

Camping and Campervans:

You are arriving onto site before the festival is open to the public. When you arrive, you'll drive into the festival village at the Red Gate. Show the volunteer or security staff member at the gate your  ticket and you will be given instructions on where to go. You will then park your car in Crew Parking or your campervan in Crew Campervans. If you are camping, you should camp in Crew Camping. Please head straight to the Info Point on arrival to pick up your wristbands. You will not be able to move your car or campervan again till Monday at 6am.

Tickets / Accreditation

As a Volunteer you will receive a Crew wristband, a free Shower Pass wristband, and you'll also be able to get a free Car Park Pass (if you need it) on arrival. You'll collect your wristband at accreditation when you arrive on site.
If you're arriving before 4pm (see question above) you'll collect your wristband from the Info Point.

Yes. You will be given one meal ticket for any of our tasty food vendors on site for each 8 hours volunteered.

Yes. Please provide us with as much information as possible in the volunteer form,  so that we can allocate you a role that suits you. We might get in touch once you’ve applied, so we can be in a better position to offer support if needed.

No. Volunteers receive a free car parking pass.

This full ticket (minus booking fees) will be refunded to you after the festival if you complete roughly 3 x 8 hour shifts. If you can't quite do that many shifts, and can only do one, that's helpful too! And you'll receive meal vouchers and other festival perks for your help.

It’s useful to have experience volunteering at a festival, sporting event, or similar setting, but we do encourage anyone to volunteer!

Volunteer Briefings take place at the following times. They will take place at the Crew Office.

Please make sure you attend one of them before your first shift:

Thursday 30th June - 20:30-21:00

Friday 1st July - 07:00 - 07:30

No. Please bring your own tent, or buddy up with someone that has one! If you’re stuck for camping gear, or are not in a financial position to be able to buy any, please let us know and we’ll do our best to help you out.

Travel expenses are not covered and you’ll need to make your own way to the festival and we ask you to use greener travel options like train, coach, bike, or run!

Yes! We love dogs and well behaved dogs are more than welcome. Please make sure your dog is comfortable around large crowds and please only bring your dog if you can look after it during your shifts, or someone can look after it whilst you’re on shift.

If you have questions in general about Love Trails Festival, please have a read of our guest FAQ page here.

We'd recommend having a good read of that page as it'll help you with information you might need during your shift, and help you enhance your role as a volunteer! :)
