DOWNSTREAM
ABOUT

DOWNSTREAM is a joint science and film project that explores these far-reaching effects. The film follows Dr Juliette Becquet, a French Hydro-Ecologist who grew up in the shadow of Chamonix's retreating glaciers. She embarks on a global journey, from the vineyards of Switzerland to the slalom culture of Native American tribes, learning how glacier loss touches all of us—because we all live downstream.

The story expands to New Zealand, where Juliette investigates how forward-thinking businesses address these challenges. The film explores regenerative agriculture’s potential to mitigate climate change and offer resilience in the face of glacier loss.

Supported by icebreaker, a brand committed to regenerative agriculture, "DOWNSTREAM" also examines how partnerships with NGOs like Protect Our Winters (POW) can bring scientific insights to life and elevate awareness of these critical environmental changes beyond the outdoor industry.

The film is produced by Protect Our Winters with support from icebreaker and VF Foundation.

Alongside the film, we'll be hosting a special Q&A with POW Representative ,Jordan, and Huw James, Welsh Science Communicator, Adventurer and Filmmaker.

Jordan is a strategic communicator, visual storyteller, and climate advocate shaping international campaigns at Protect Our Winters Europe. With a sharp focus on turning awareness into action, she blends design, strategy, and advocacy to build movements that drive real impact. Her background in brand building has evolved into strategic campaign development and community engagement, helping shape POW’s work to amplify climate action and make complex challenges clear, compelling, and actionable.

Driven by a deep love for the outdoors—whether it’s surfing to snowboarding, trail running to skateboarding—she believes protecting the places we play starts with rethinking how we move. At POW, she channels this passion into bold, strategic campaigns that empower communities to take action.

A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and holder of an MSc in International Innovation Design Management, her research explores the intersection of ethics, profit, and impact in driving meaningful change.

Huw James is a Welsh science communicator, adventurer, and filmmaker. A fellow of the Royal Geographical and Royal Astronomical Societies, he creates educational films through his organisations, Anturus and Science StoryLab. With a background in Astronomy and Geology, Huw has undertaken diverse expeditions worldwide, capturing the wonders of science and nature. His mission is to inspire a new generation of environmental custodians by addressing pollution, climate change, and wildlife extinction through films and photography.

Great Norse Run
ABOUT

A group of strangers from very different walks of life find common ground in the heart of Iceland’s
wilderness. Over ten days, they traverse the interior of the country, forging connections with each
other and the land as they go.
As the miles add up, so do the stories. With the noise of the outside world stripped away, the group
opens up. Through shared hardship and awe, real conversations emerge, revealing honest,
vulnerable moments that rarely surface in everyday life. The documentary follows the journey as it unfolds, as each day brings the unexpected. Set against Iceland’s rugged interior, a landscape that feels both desolate and enchanted. It’s a backdrop of extremes, where the silence is vast and the beauty, unforgettable.

Alongside the film, there will be a special Q&A with Great Norse Run filmmaker Sam Walker, and adventure athlete Danny Bent, who's work continues to empower individuals to step outside their comfort zones, embrace challenges, and find joy in the journey.

But before any trip comes the prep, and part of that means finding the right kit. For Emily, this can be a tough adventure in and of itself. King of the Fells
ABOUT

On June 8th, 1971, sheep farmer Joss Naylor and rally driver Frank Davies arrived in Fort William to take on the iconic Three Peaks.

Starting and ending at sea level, challengers must scale the highest peaks in England, Scotland, and Wales, in the fastest time possible, including driving time.

The running route spans 23 miles with a combined ascent of 3,064 meters (10,052ft), while the additional 462 miles will be covered in Frank's rally-prepped Ford Capri.

Frank is convinced Joss can complete the course in under 12 hours.

A time, that if achieved, will probably never be beaten…
